About the Job

MSG Constructions & Renovation is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, taping joints, and applying successive coats of compound to create smooth surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to create smooth surfaces.
  • Taping and Finishing: Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a seamless finish.
  • Compound Application: Apply successive coats of compound to drywall seams and joints, and sand to create a smooth surface.
  • Cleaning and Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces for installation, and cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure a strong bond.
  • Corner Bead Installation: Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and create a seamless finish.
  • Acoustic and Texture Application: Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings to create a smooth and durable surface.
  • Tool Maintenance: Maintain and repair tools and equipment to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Security and Safety: Pass a criminal record check and wear steel-toed safety boots to ensure a safe working environment.
Working Conditions
  • Work Site Environment: Dusty work site environment.
  • Hours of Work: 30 hours per week.
  • Language of Work: English.
