About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Exercise Therapist to join our team. As an Exercise Therapist, you will be responsible for leading group exercise and falls prevention programs, implementing exercise and education programs for seniors, and providing a consistent approach to prevent falls and reduce injuries.
Key Responsibilities- Travel to various sites to provide coverage for staff and lead group exercise programs
- Implement exercise and education programs for seniors, focusing on increasing mobility, pain relief, building strength, and improving balance
- Provide a consistent approach to prevent falls, reduce injuries, and improve awareness of safety within the participant's daily activities
- Prepare and maintain progress reports and basic metrics on participants
- Be responsible for classroom setup and ensuring participants are able to enter the program site
- Attentively monitor residents while utilizing exercise equipment and promote safe use of equipment
- Support and participate in the development and implementation of programs and objectives
- Accurately collect data for reporting
- Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology or College Diploma in related fields
- First Aid (CPR & AED) Certification
- Full drivers license, reliable car, and willingness to travel between sites
- Experience with seniors and group programming is an asset
- Mandatory requirement: full vaccination against COVID-19
- Bilingual Preferred
