Cardiology Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiology Technologist to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a Cardiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, holter and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and other related procedures. You will work closely with medical staff to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of department policies and procedures.
Responsibilities- Perform ECG testing, stress testing, holter and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and other related procedures.
- Explain procedures and answer patient questions in preparation for testing.
- Scan and analyze ECG, stress, and holter monitor test strips; select and assess portions of test strips and summarize for interpretation by medical staff.
- Enter patient test information into Meditech to provide Electronic Health Records database for client/patient files.
- Maintain appropriate files and reports according to established department procedures/policies.
- Demonstrate ECG testing procedures and operation of related equipment to students and new staff.
- Provide orientation and training to ECG staff and other hospital staff as directed.
- Maintain equipment by cleaning, lubricating, and replacing items as required; complete requisitions for repair using established procedures.
- Distribute patient reports to appropriate wards and/or departments.
- Provide input and assist with the development, implementation, and update of department policies and procedures.
Education and Experience:
Completion of a recognized Cardiology Technology Program at the Diploma level plus two (2) years recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT) certified.
