Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Employee Experience and Well-being Consultant to join our team at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and experience of our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement programs and initiatives to enhance employee well-being and experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver employee engagement and well-being initiatives
  • Conduct needs assessments and analyze data to inform program development and evaluation
  • Provide coaching and support to employees to promote well-being and employee experience
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in employee experience and well-being and apply this knowledge to inform program development and implementation
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in human resources, health sciences, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in employee well-being, workplace wellness, health promotion, and/or human resources
  • Superior interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and demonstrated ability to function as a collaborative team member
  • Experience using human resources/payroll systems and database reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the development and implementation of projects
  • Strong human relations skills and the ability to interact with employees in a unionized and non-unionized environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated presentation skills
  • Experience using computerized human resources/payroll systems and reporting software preferred
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and corporate email
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment where duties and priorities shift regularly
  • Ability to work in a confidential setting independently and under time constraints
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills to proactively problem-solve
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders and employees
