Job Title: Senior Datastage Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Datastage Developer to join our Global Finance & Risk Technology group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop ETL mechanisms to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
  • Develop server jobs using Datastage stages such as Sequential file, ODBC, Hashed file, Aggregator, Transformer, Sort, Link Partitioner, and Link Collector.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources, including DB2-UDB, SQL Server, PL/SQL, Oracle, Teradata, XML, and MS-Access, into the data staging area.
  • Collaborate with Datastage Manager, Designer, Administrator, and Director to ensure seamless data processing.
  • Analyze data generated by business processes, define data granularity, source-to-target mapping, and create indexes and aggregate tables for data warehouse design and development.
  • Study data dependencies using metadata stored in the repository and prepare batches for existing sessions to facilitate scheduling of multiple sessions.
  • Troubleshoot Datastage jobs and address production issues such as performance tuning and enhancement.
  • Develop database programming skills for Data Warehouses (Schemas) and dimensional modeling.
  • Perform UNIX shell scripting using K-shell for automation of processes and scheduling Datastage jobs using wrappers.
  • Utilize software configuration management tools like Rational Clear case/Clear quest for version control.
  • Experience with Data Modeling and reverse engineering using tools Erwin, Oracle Designer, and MS Visio, SQL server management studio, SSIS, and SSRS, and stored procedures.

Requirements:

  • Experience in OFSAA FSDF.
  • Ability to research and solve data-related issues within the OFSAA environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle 12C/19C, SQL, PL SQL, UNIX Shell Scripting, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with OFSAA Data Foundation, Business Metadata management, Data Management Tools, like T2Ts, File Extracts, and Data Quality Framework, Data Entry Forms and Queries; Excel uploads; Atomic Schema Uploads, workflows in OFSAA.
  • Experience with ERWIN DATA MODEL.
  • Ability to source data from multiple source systems.
  • Exposure to Autosys.
  • Data warehousing skills.
  • Willingness to be on-call production support as needed in the night.
