We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labour and Delivery team at North York General Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care, education, and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized care to patients and families in Labour and Delivery, utilizing evidence-based practices and clinical expertise.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
- Participate in education and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills in Labour and Delivery.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification.
- Recent breastfeeding course.
- Fetal Health Surveillance certification, preferred.
- Perinatal Certificate, preferred.
- 2-3 years Labour and Delivery experience, preferred.
- Operating Room experience, preferred.
- Bilingualism in French/English an asset.
