Job Title: Fishmonger

We are seeking a skilled Fishmonger to join our team at JIM PATTISON ENTERPRISES LTD.

Job Summary:

The Fishmonger will be responsible for cutting and preparing fish and seafood products for sale. This includes cutting carcasses, sides, and quarters, as well as wrapping and packaging prepared meats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cut and prepare fish and seafood products for sale
  • Wrap and package prepared meats
  • Train meat cutters and other staff members
  • Prepare special orders and displays of meats, poultry, and fish products
Work Environment:

The Fishmonger will work in a fast-paced retail environment with exposure to odours and cold/refrigerated temperatures.

Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: Will train
  • Physical abilities: Standing for extended periods, attention to detail, physically demanding, handling heavy loads, and hand-eye coordination
  • Personal qualities: Reliability and ability to work as a team player
