Job Summary:
The Automation and Technology Manager at HEROUX DEVTEK INC. is responsible for leading and managing the manufacturing engineering and CNC programming teams to ensure the successful design, development, and implementation of projects related to highly complex Landing Gear components and systems.
This role involves overseeing all engineering and programming activities, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in advanced manufacturing technology and process improvement techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the design, implementation, and optimization of automated systems
- Develop and manage the Methods department budget, long and short-term plans/goals
- Oversee the quotation process
- Liaise with customers and outside agencies regarding engineering issues
- Lead technical teams and coordinate cross-departmental teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Mechanical/Automation/Manufacturing related fields and minimum of 5 years of engineering management/supervisory experience in CNC manufacturing environment or equivalent
- Familiar with machining techniques
- Up to date on the emerging technologies within the industry
- Understanding of methods/programming tools and concepts (CATIA, Vericut etc)
