Patient Registration Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Registration Clerk to join our team at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, B.C.
About the Role:This is a Relief Part-Time position with rotating days and evenings, including 06:30 to 14:30, 07:00 to 15:00, 09:00 to 15:00, 14:30 to 22:30, 15:00 to 23:00, 15:30 to 23:30, and 16:00 to 00:00.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform clerical and patient registration duties, including patient registration, bed booking options, and cashier duties.
- Receive, check, and deposit patient valuables for safekeeping, and return valuables and maintain related records.
- Complete data entry for pre-admissions, admissions, discharges, and transfers, and compile and distribute various documents/lists/schedules.
- Direct patients/visitors to appropriate areas, and process requests for patient telephone system, setting up phone and payment plan.
- Completion of Grade 12.
- A current Typing Test of 45 wpm or greater completed within past 48 months from a recognized institution.
- Proof of completion of Medical Terminology.
- Three years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
