About the Job

This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

As a Construction Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials, operating mobile and tower cranes, and performing pre-operational inspections.

You will also be tasked with reading blueprints to determine work requirements, cleaning and lubricating cranes, and instructing apprentices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials
  • Operating mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials
  • Performing pre-operational inspections
  • Reading blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Cleaning and lubricating cranes
  • Erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Operating pile driving cranes to drive pilings into earth to provide support for buildings and other structures
  • Instructing apprentices
  • Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assembling tower cranes on site
  • Operating locomotive cranes to move objects and materials at railway yards
