**Job Summary:**

Agassiz Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Veterinary Technologist to join our clinical team. Our hospital is committed to providing exceptional care to our patients while fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Assist veterinarians in routine examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures.
• Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and parasite screenings.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
• Handle and restrain animals during procedures with care and compassion.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation of patient information.
• Educate pet owners on preventive care, medication administration, and post-treatment instructions.
• Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures and assist in recovery protocols.

**Requirements:**

• Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician in a clinical setting.
• Proficiency in laboratory procedures and sample collection.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both clients and team members.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, animal behavior, and common veterinary medications.
• Current registration or ability to register with the BCVTA.
