Millwright Technician

Job Summary:

As a skilled Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright at Blommer Chocolate Company, you will be responsible for conducting troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance services to equipment throughout the plant. Your expertise will be utilized to build and assemble new equipment, perform preventative maintenance services, and complete general building maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical skills, including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
• Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, tanks, and production machines.
• Observe equipment concerns and initiate corrective action/repair.
• Utilize understanding of PLCs to reduce downtime.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma - required.
• Red Seal certification is an asset.
• Minimum one to three (1-3) years' experience in production machine repair working with shop tools such as shear, lathe, drill press, mill; welding experience a plus.
• Basic use of computer, tablet, scanner, iPad for recording information.
• Mechanical aptitude.
