Logistics Operations Specialist

As a key member of the logistics team, the Shipping Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless product receipt, storage, and dispatch. This involves coordinating with various stakeholders to manage effective inventory controls and optimize productivity levels.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail. They will be responsible for scheduling appointments, processing freight bills, administering customer inquiries, and maintaining accurate inventory visibility.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar coordinating or project management role is required. Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset. The successful candidate will also have expertise in Microsoft AXAPTA 12 System, which is highly preferred.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $60,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package and a pension plan from day one. Additionally, the company provides a transit-accessible location, making it an attractive opportunity for those seeking a work-life balance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Scheduling inbound appointments for receipts and/or pick-ups
- Processing freight bills for 3rd party freight deliveries
- Administering customer inquiries or returns
- Processing inventory adjustments as required to ensure accurate inventory visibility
- Rate shipping and scheduling 3rd party carrier pick-ups
- Working with retailers, vendors, and businesses to manage key accounts
- Generating and distributing monthly receipts and reports to show current POS shipping quantities
- Timely and accurate transactions in ERP system (ship confirms/PO receipts/stock transfers, RMA's, etc.) including review of weekly open order exports
- Collaborating with the finance team to review, approve/dispute customer fines
- Processing carrier loss and damage claims when necessary
- Liaising with Customer Care, Sales, Regional Distribution Centers, and Transportation Planner on daily requirements
- Managing offset customer pick-ups (preparing documentation, communicating with vendor/customer)
- Participating in yearly physical inventory counts and reconciliation
- Maintaining the warehouse to meet safety regulations and ensuring processes and procedures are followed
