Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Meat Cutter Specialist to join our team at Ontario Inc. in this exciting retail opportunity.

The successful candidate will have experience in cutting and preparing meats, as well as supervising other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Cutting carcasses, sides, and quarters
  • Cutting, trimming, and preparing standard cuts of meat
  • Wrapping and packaging prepared meats
  • Removing bones from meat
  • Weighing meats for sale
  • Cutting poultry into parts
  • Pricing meat products
  • Cleaning and preparing fish and shellfish
  • Selling meats to customers
  • Supervising other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers
  • Slicing cooked meats
  • Preparing special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products
  • Shaping, lacing, and tying roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood
  • Preparing special orders
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Will train
Work Environment

Our work site environment includes exposure to odours and requires working in cold/refrigerated conditions.
