Job Summary

The primary function of the Data Architect is to provide business, data, application and technology consulting and leadership for the Enterprise IT portfolio. This role is responsible for providing architecture and design level responsibility for the data architecture for global information technology projects at Momentum Financial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Captures the requirements for data services and identifies the techniques and technologies that should be applied at the data level.
  • Defines data management principles and policies setting the direction for how data is managed across the enterprise.
  • Leads the development and maintenance of the Enterprise baseline data model.
  • Works closely with Infrastructure, Business and Application Architects and DBAs to determine the most appropriate data partitioning.
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years experience in Data/Database technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years experience in Data/Database technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting.

8+ years' experience in data modeling, development, implementation and support of transactional databases and data warehouses for global, large scale systems. ~3+ years of business unit experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving. ~ Experience with relational database platforms including Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL. ~ Experience with meta-data repository technologies. ~ Advanced expertise in stored procedure programming, data modeling, replication, performance monitoring and optimization, and database administration. ~ Experience in data warehousing, ETL and distributed environments. ~ Experience with data modeling for Object Oriented systems. ~ Microsoft Desktop Productivity Tools, Visio, and System Modeling Tools. ~ Experience with data modeling concepts and tools such as ERWin. ~ Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc. ~ Application development experience with Microsoft.NET technologies a plus.
