Software Build Engineer

About the Role

Creative Technology Resources is seeking a highly skilled Build & Release Engineer to join our team. As a Build & Release Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our products to internal and external parties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and orchestration of deployment workflows, including performing deployments.
  • Develop and improve the technical build pipeline in C#, automating and driving the build system and other related tooling.
  • Work as a technical liaison with the development team to address build issues and improvements.
  • Collaborate across domain teams and QA on releases/updates and patches.
  • Support the integration process, emergent work, and deployments.
  • Maintain industry best practices in DevOps and CI through good coding practices and participating in code reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in build engineering, working with consoles and third parties in a AAA games studio, ideally with Unreal 4/5.
  • Programming experience in C#/Java/OOP.
  • Scripting and automation skills using tools such as Groovy, Python, bash, or similar.
  • Experience with automated build systems such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Perforce or equivalent.
  • Experience with JIRA or equivalent.
