Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Residential Childcare Specialist to join our team at Precious. As a key member of our childcare team, you will provide high-quality care and support to infants and children in the comfort of their own home.

About the Role

This is a permanent position with a guaranteed 30 hours of work per week. As a Residential Childcare Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care, including education, nutrition, and emotional well-being, while ensuring the safety and health of the children in your care.

You will be working directly with children, creating engaging activities, and helping them develop essential life skills. Your primary focus will be on providing individualized attention, guidance, and support to each child, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs.

Responsibilities
  • Assume full responsibility for household tasks, including light housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Provide excellent childcare services, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and ensuring the overall well-being of the children.
  • Develop and implement daily routines and schedules that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development in children.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment within the home by adhering to strict hygiene standards and addressing any hazards or risks promptly.
  • Organize and participate in activities that foster socialization, creativity, and personal growth among children, such as games, outings, and homework assistance.
Requirements
  • Diploma equivalent (Secondary school graduation certificate) or relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in childcare or a related field is highly valued.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
Work Environment

As a Residential Childcare Specialist with Precious, you will be working primarily in the employer's home environment. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to accommodate varying schedules and demands.

Compensation Package

The compensation package for this position includes an estimated salary range of $40,000 - $55,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus additional benefits as outlined below:
