Job Title: PHP Developer

Alteo Inc. is seeking a skilled PHP Developer to join our team in Montréal (Ville St-Laurent). As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing new features for our main Web application.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop new features and maintain existing code
  • Participate in analysis and design
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Web application
Requirements:
  • DEC/BAC in IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in web development with PHP
  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and Model-View-Controller (MVC) architectural pattern
  • Understanding of relational databases and competence in writing queries in MySql or SQL
  • Familiarity with PHP frameworks like Symfony or Laravel
  • Experience with older frameworks such as Silex or older versions of Symfony is a plus
  • Experience with Vue version 3 is a plus
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms (WordPress, Magento, PrestaShop) (asset)
  • Proficiency in Git version control system (asset)
  • Knowledge of Bash terminal (asset)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate large projects efficiently (asset)
  • Ability to write simple, clean, and maintainable code, or a willingness to adhere to this coding philosophy (asset)
