We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director, System Support to join our team at Medavie Health Services. This senior management position will oversee the planning, oversight, and management of our system's Physical Resource Elements, AED Registry program, Safety, Scheduling, as well as Business Continuity.
The successful candidate will have a minimum 10 years leadership experience in EMS management or EMS air services. Experience in the service and/or health care sector is an asset.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership for overall direction and operational effectiveness of programs, through established best practices and standardized operating policies and task responsibilities.
- Develop and implement business plans and budgets for System Support, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Oversee the management of facility site selection, facility design, request for proposals, and contractor selection on new facilities.
- Ensure compliance with provincial requirements and regulations, including Occupational Health and Safety Act of Nova Scotia.
- Post-secondary education in the Health Sciences field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and a Master of Business Administration degree would be considered an asset or significant relevant experience.
- Sound business judgment and ability to think strategically in a dynamic environment.
