About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Transportation team at IBI Group. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of transportation projects, ensuring they meet time, quality, budgetary, and health and safety targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage all aspects of transportation projects, including commuter rail, bus rapid transit, and light rail.
  • Client Relationship Management: Manage client relationships to ensure delivery meets or exceeds client expectations.
  • Cost Management: Continuously monitor and manage costs, including procurements, labor, and other costs against the project budget.
  • Progress Reporting: Continuously report progress as required to record the advancement of the project.
  • Commercial Management: Maintain an overview of the commercial aspects of the project, including contract, invoicing, debt, and client management.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and manage stakeholder relationships with key stakeholder groups, including municipalities, provincial agencies, transit agencies, and utilities.
  • Change Management: Support change management activities on projects as they arise, including development of change management strategies, plans, and tactics.
  • Operational Readiness: Support operational readiness activities on projects as they arise.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure familiarity and compliance with Health and Safety regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's University Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Professional Engineering License: Hold a Professional Engineering License in the Province of Ontario.
  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive and demonstrable experience managing/leading rail and transit projects in a large matrix organization, interfacing with technical leads and stakeholder engagement.
  • Client Relationship Management: Experience managing client relationships.
  • Alternate Project Delivery: Knowledge in alternate project delivery (P3, DB), and experience in teaming arrangements with contractors and consultants.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills with demonstrable ability to work effectively as part of varied multi-discipline teams.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.
