Critical Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of child and family dynamics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of community resources and ability to link families with appropriate services. Understanding of family-centred practice and trauma-informed care.
- Experience working with at-risk youth and families.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to manage complex situations and maintain a calm demeanor in crisis situations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and documentation.
- High level of emotional intelligence and empathy for children and families.
