About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Artistic Craftsman to join our team at Shalimar Construction Company Limited. As an Artistic Craftsman, you will be responsible for applying your artistic skills to create visually appealing and durable finishes on various surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning and sanding them to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings to create a seamless look.
  • Mix paint to achieve the desired color and texture, taking into account factors such as lighting conditions and surface type.
  • Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric materials to walls, ensuring precise alignment and smooth edges.
  • Advise clients on color schemes and wall covering options to meet their needs and preferences.
  • Erect scaffolding and rigging systems to access high areas safely and efficiently.
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces, using techniques that ensure durability and longevity.
  • Estimate material costs and plan workflows to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements
  • A secondary school graduation certificate is required; a post-secondary education in a related field would be an asset.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related role, with a strong understanding of artistic principles and practices.
  • Possess a valid English language proficiency certificate, reflecting fluency in both written and spoken communication.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated at $40,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
