Job Title: Sr Principal Engineer

Albin Engineering Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Sr Principal Engineer to lead our AI/ML infrastructure platform solutions team. This is a 100% remote position with opportunities for international travel.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Define and implement complex AI/ML infrastructure platform solutions, leading a multi-disciplined team to bring them to life.
  • Develop and maintain close technical relationships with suppliers/partners on product roadmaps and technologies.
  • Lead RFQ technical responses and platform concept development efforts as needed.
  • Provide effective trade-off analysis and competitive guidance to engineering teams and customers.
  • Deliverables include System Requirements Documents (SRD), requirement compliance assessments, and Technical proposals.
  • Act as a primary technical interface between us and our customers, particularly in technical escalation.
  • Provide technical support to business development teams to assist in the winning of new business.
  • Participate in the selection and hiring of design team resources as required.
  • Identify and champion process improvement efforts as needed.
  • Participate in standards committees and industry groups as assigned.
  • Prepare and present technical presentations to customers, industry groups, tradeshows, etc.
  • Maintain current on industry trends and future technology and market opportunities.
Job Requirements:
  • ~15+ years of Server and/or AI/ML accelerator hardware design experience
  • ~5 years of AI Infrastructure system design experience
  • ~ Experience with Nvidia, AMD, Intel, or other modern GPU accelerators and support systems
  • ~ Successful experience architecting and delivering server/storage/converged products to market
  • ~ Excellent customer presentation skills
  • ~ A broad knowledge of current digital and analogue components
  • ~ Successful New Product Introduction (NPI) launch
  • ~ Extensive knowledge of system level power, cooling, mechanical, SW/FW and electrical design integration and engineering trade-offs
Desired Skills:
  • Prior participation in industry groups and associations
  • System level integration, interoperability and test experience
  • System level manufacturing test experience
Travel:

International travel required, approximately 4-6 trips per year. Domestic travel to support customer and internal meetings as required.

We are open to considering candidates close to any of our US locations in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, Oregon, or California as well as locations near major airports such as the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, and Pacific Coast.
