Job Title: Industrial Welder

MatrixHR is seeking a skilled Industrial Welder for a full-time position in the South East of Calgary, AB. The successful candidate will join our team in the Manufacturing department and work on projects involving MIG and Flux Core welding of gauge metal and light structural parts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform MIG and Flux Core welding processes on gauge metal and light structural parts.
  • Fabricate and fit parts as required.
  • Operate torch and plasma cutting equipment.
  • Prepare and fabricate parts to customer specifications.
  • Read and accurately follow drawings.
  • Responsible operation and handling of tools and machinery.
  • Perform quality checks on parts from current and previous fabrication operations.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2-4 years' experience as an Industrial Welder.
  • Previous experience with MIG and Flux Core welding processes.
  • Knowledge of operating oxy-acetylene torch and/or plasma cutting equipment.
  • Previous experience with hand and power tools.
  • Good working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office.
  • Well-organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent safety record/safety conscious.
  • Experience in an industrial capacity.
