Compensation Package

We offer a competitive compensation package that includes:

  • A salary of $85,000 per year, based on industry standards for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Edmonton and surrounding regions.
Job Description

This is a full-time position requiring rotating shifts. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to provide precise high-quality Nuclear Medicine examinations. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Performing quality control procedures on hot lab equipment and gamma cameras.
  2. Ordering daily isotopes and other department supplies.
  3. Preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
  4. Conducting patient interviews and recording medical histories.
  5. Setting up IV's and ECG leads.
  6. Assisting with cardiac stress testing, MIBIs, or regular stresses.
  7. Supervising patient recovery after cardiac stress testing.
  8. Scanning for various Nuclear Medicine studies.
  9. Completing paperwork and collating previous studies as required.
  10. General housekeeping duties.
  11. Communicating with the Nuclear Medicine Manager regarding vacation coverage, sick days, and appointments.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. A Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostic Nuclear Medicine procedures and practices.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively with staff members and administration.
  3. Motivated and self-directed individual who can make decisions independently.
  4. Clinical competency in medical nuclear medicine.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to excellence in patient care and quality control.
Qualifications

Required qualifications include:

  • CAMRT/ACMDTT designation in good standing.
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certification.
  • Current CPR certification.
