Developer Role at Investment Planning Counsel

We are seeking a skilled Developer to join our IT team at Investment Planning Counsel. As a Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing and supporting high-quality software solutions in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop well-structured, scalable, and reliable code for high-quality applications.
  • Work with various.NET Frameworks, including EF, MVC, and Razor.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure Specialists and System Architects to document technical design elements.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and follow established processes.
  • Provide 24/7 technical assistance on a rotational on-call basis.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of C# ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC, EF, and client-side frameworks like Angular JS.
  • Experience in relational database design using MS SQL Server and development of stored procedures, views, and query optimization techniques.
  • Ability to develop REST APIs from ground-up using.NET Framework and implement authentication and authorization functionality.
  • Experience in using Microsoft BI tools, including SSRS, SSIS, and ability to write and troubleshoot complex SSIS packages.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript/XML, including HTML 5, CSS 3.0, jQuery, and jQuery UI.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent academic qualification.
  • Microsoft certification that demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including ASP.NET, MVC, Entity Framework, and SQL.
  • Front-end development experience using JavaScript frameworks like Angular/React/View and vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap.
  • Ability to write technical requirements, solution documents, and produce documentation/illustrations that assist with relaying technical concepts to non-technical business partners, SMEs, and stakeholders.
