About the Role

MistyWest is seeking a highly skilled Firmware Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. As a Firmware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing firmware for our connected products, ensuring they meet the required standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop firmware for our connected products, including BLE, WiFi, and LTE devices.
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to identify software and firmware requirements, plan architecture, and communicate with the project team.
  • Develop low-level drivers and application-level firmware for our products.
  • Bring up and debug hardware using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other tools.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop Ultra Low Power applications and embedded Linux applications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in firmware and software development.
  • Strong experience with embedded Linux, kernel-level development, and driver-level development.
  • Experience with real-time operating systems, such as FreeRTOS.
  • Excellent knowledge of software development practices, testing, and revision control.
  • Experience with unit testing, static analysis tools, and automated test suites.
