About the Role

We are seeking an Apprentice Tile Setter to join our team at JY Shinwoo Construction Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using hand trowel to prepare surfaces for tile installation.
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base, ensuring a strong and durable bond.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, requiring precision and attention to detail.
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, maintaining a high level of quality and safety standards.
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural and floor designs, showcasing creativity and artistic skills.
  • Cut, surface, polish and install marble and granite, requiring knowledge of materials and techniques.
  • Mix, lay and polish terra surfaces, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • The role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work conditions may involve working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
Requirements and Preferences
