Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technologist to join our team at Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital. As a Medical Oncology Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to deliver world-class veterinary services.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage appointments, including history taking, physical examination, medical record-keeping, invoicing, prescriptions, patient discharges, and more.
  • Perform procedures, such as preparing patients, setting up supplies, and administering chemotherapy.
  • Plan, organize, and manage the daily flow of services, clients, and patient treatments.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and referring hospitals.
  • Drive the VCA Canada experience and ensure our patients receive the highest quality care.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Veterinary Technician in British Columbia (or eligible).
  • Preference given for a minimum of two years of experience as an RVT, ideally in an emergency or referral setting.
  • Experience in providing sedation and monitoring in dogs and cats.
  • Exceptional time-management skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in performing medical calculations.
  • Ability to work well with others in a hospital that requires a multi-disciplinary team approach among the specialty services.
  • Compassionate care and superior client communication skills.
