Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation

Plan and prepare menus, estimating food requirements and costs to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Cooking and Food Preparation

Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.

Food Safety and Quality Control

Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to food safety regulations.

Staff Training and Development

Train kitchen staff and helpers in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Inventory Management

Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Cleanliness and Organization

Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.

Requirements
  • Education

College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Language

Fluent in English.

Work Schedule

30 to 40 hours per week.
