Business Auditor Job Description

Cowan Insurance Group is seeking a highly skilled Business Auditor to join our team. As a Business Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our commercial insurance operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough reviews of commercial insurance files to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Assess the quality of supporting documentation and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Senior Auditors, Trainers, and Leaders to implement key initiatives and improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial insurance experience.
  • RIBO license or ability to obtain.
  • CAIB or CIP designation an asset.
  • 3 years or more of internal/external audit experience or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
