The Government of Nunavut is seeking a highly skilled Treasury Analyst to provide analytical and research support to the Manager, Treasury, and Expenditure Management Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for forecasting, monitoring, and investing cash resources, as well as administering debt financing.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide analytical and research support to the Manager, Treasury, and Expenditure Management Director.
- Forecast, monitor, and invest cash resources.
- Administer debt financing.
- Prepare policy documents and research and briefing materials.
- Act as an advisor to the Government of Nunavut on borrowing and investment activities.
- Recognized undergraduate degree in Banking, Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related discipline.
- Completion of either 2nd year towards a recognized accounting designation or introductory year of the CFA designation.
- Two (2) years' experience working in banking, money, or capital markets.
- Canadian Securities Course is an asset.
- Fluency in more than one of Nunavut's official languages.
- Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, Inuktut, and experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment.
- Competitive salary range: $97,372 to $110,510 per year.
- Northern Allowance: $16,008 per year.
