Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate occupational therapist to join our team in the Victoria area. As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including those with physical, cognitive, and mental health conditions. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide education and support to clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote independence, mobility, and overall well-being
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families on coping strategies, adaptive techniques, and community resources
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Document client progress and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
