Your Opportunity
We are seeking an Intermediate Hydrogeologist to join our environmental services team in British Columbia. The position will join the Hydrogeology Technical Team of Stantec's Environmental Services Business Line.
Key Responsibilities
- Instrumental in various projects related to hydrogeologic assessments and groundwater supply development.
- Ensure safe work practices and adhere to company and client guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
- Organize field investigations including drilling, well construction, testing oversight; groundwater and surface water sampling; water level monitoring; hydraulic conductivity testing; and infiltration testing.
- Design and construct groundwater monitoring wells and groundwater supply wells.
- Develop conceptual site hydrogeologic understanding.
- Analyze and interpret data including pumping test results, aquifer response, surface water and groundwater interaction.
- Prepare technical reports documenting field investigations, analytical results, and interpretation.
- Assist project managers with developing project budgets, determining project scope, and establishing project schedules.
- Travel as required to various field sites with overnight travel sometimes necessary.
- Demonstrate sound understanding and application of established practices, standards, and guidelines.
- Majority of time spent in office environment with prolonged sitting and computer work.
