Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Kicking Horse Ford. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with commercial transport truck systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Repair Issues: Use your expertise to identify and fix problems with commercial transport truck systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Inspect and Test Units: Conduct thorough inspections and tests to locate faults and malfunctions in mechanical units.
  • Communicate with Supervisors: Discuss work with supervisors to determine the best course of action for repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance: Complete routine maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Coach and Instruct Apprentices: Share your knowledge and experience with apprentices to help them develop their skills.
Requirements
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification: Possess a valid certification in automotive service technology.
  • Experience: Have at least 1 year of experience in the field, with a strong understanding of commercial transport truck systems.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and have good hand-eye coordination.
