About the JobWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at NS CHAUHAN TRUCKING LTD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes.
Key Responsibilities- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods from trailers, ensuring safe and secure transportation.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal vehicle condition.
- Roadside Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs to minimize downtime and maintain schedule integrity.
- Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to identify potential issues before embarking on a journey.
- Driver Logbook: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Air Brakes Endorsement: Possess a valid Air Brakes Endorsement certificate.
- Driver's License: Hold a Class 1 or A driver's license.
- Communication Systems: Be proficient in operating GPS navigation equipment and other communication systems.
- Transportation Experience: Have a minimum of 1 year of long-haul truck driving experience.
You will be working primarily in a fast-paced trucking environment with opportunities to travel across various routes. This position requires a high level of physical fitness and ability to work independently.
What We Offer- Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
