Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Montessori Happy Minds Inc. As a Child Development Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support children's growth and development
  • Maintain daycare equipment and ensure a safe and healthy environment
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and provide guidance and support
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs and activities
  • Lead activities, such as storytelling, singing, and crafts, to promote children's development
  • Encourage children to express their creativity through various media
  • Guide children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for meals and rest periods
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports
  • Discuss children's progress and problems at staff meetings
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
  • 1-2 years of experience in early childhood education
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations and child development principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team environment
