Job SummaryThis is a seasonal position requiring the successful candidate to work long hours (55-60 hours per week) for extended periods. You must be physically fit and able to perform repetitive tasks while standing for long periods.
Key Responsibilities:- Cultivate and irrigate crops to ensure optimal growth and yield.
- Hand-harvest vegetables and pack fruits and vegetables for market-ready products.
- Fertilize and spray crops as needed to maintain soil health.
- Examine products for quality and readiness for market.
- Cut horticultural crops using manual techniques.
- No formal education or degree is required; however, relevant experience is an asset.
- Ability to distinguish between colours, hand-eye co-ordination, and physical stamina.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing weather conditions and crop requirements.
We offer a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $50,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
