About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at The Grand Malabar Indian Cuisine Inc. as a key member of our kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and excellence in our culinary offerings.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment for our customers and staff.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize our kitchen's performance.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a high level of hygiene and organization.
  • Organize buffets and banquets to ensure seamless execution and exceptional customer experience.
  • Manage kitchen operations to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of physical activity.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of South Indian cuisine and ability to prepare dishes to high standards.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a team of experienced chefs and kitchen staff. The role requires a high level of physical activity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.

Language

The primary language of communication is English, and the successful candidate will be required to communicate effectively with the team and customers in this language.
