As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions of our client, a Tier 1 manufacturer. This in-office role requires exceptional leadership and analytical skills to manage the financial reporting needs of the business.

About the Role

The Controller will be responsible for:

  • Managing accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and financial reporting activities
  • Overseeing the month-end close process and ensuring timely and accurate reporting of monthly results while providing insightful analysis
  • Developing profitability analysis and inventory processes
  • Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financials, account reconciliations, and analysis
  • Leading intercompany account reconciliations with multiple currencies and managing external financial audits

You will also be responsible for supervising and leading the accounting team, managing leases, bank accounts, wire transfers, FX trades/contracts, budget preparation, and analysis.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A designated finance professional certification (CPA) and a university degree in business, accounting, or finance
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in accounting/finance and 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in corporate accounting activities, tax, and preparation of corporate financial reports
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge of Canadian Federal and Provincial Accounting and tax rules and regulations
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000-$180,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you can expect a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
