About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Supervisor to join our team at Golden Acre Farms Inc. As a key member of our farm operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient production of crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations to ensure high-quality yields and efficient use of resources.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed at all times to protect our team members, crops, and the environment.
  • Collaborate with our farm team to develop and implement strategies for improving crop yields, reducing waste, and increasing efficiency.
  • Monitor and control the application of fertilizers, pesticides, and other chemicals to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and minimize environmental impact.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the farm to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in agriculture or a related field an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in farm operations or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in supervising and leading teams.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
