Laboratory Microbiologist

Job Summary:
IEH Services Canada, a leading food safety solutions provider, is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Microbiologist to join its team in Richmond, BC. This full-time position requires the successful candidate to work evenings and weekends, with opportunities for benefits after three months of continuous employment.

Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify customer samples, accurately entering data into our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Conduct sample preparation and testing according to established procedures, utilizing molecular, immunoassay, and microbial enumeration methods.
- Ensure high-quality analytical results are generated in a timely manner, maintaining exceptional laboratory reporting and quality control standards.
- Prepare media and reagents as needed, managing waste disposal and general laboratory cleaning duties.

Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in data entry and computer applications, with experience in laboratory software an asset.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Aseptic technique knowledge, with a proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Educational Requirements:
A university degree or technical diploma in microbiology, biotechnology, genetics, or a related science is required. Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of one year's experience. Applications should include a resume and cover letter.

Compensation:
