About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Marble Setter to join our team at Queen's Marble & Granite. As a Marble Setter, you will be responsible for installing marble and granite surfaces in various settings, including commercial, industrial, and residential locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with marble or granite.
  • Mortar and Adhesive Application: Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel.
  • Tile Installation: Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
  • Tile Alignment and Cutting: Align and straighten tiles, and cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Grout Application and Removal: Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
  • Tile Replacement: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
  • Mosaic Tile Installation: Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs.
  • Underbed and Anchor Bolt Installation: Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets.
  • Marble and Granite Installation: Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite.
  • Terra Surface Installation: Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces.
  • Tile Strip Installation: Install tile strips.
