About the Role:

The Manager, Engineering is responsible for the management of the engineering department at Waiward Industrial. This role oversees the development of engineering standards, design tools, and strategies to improve the efficiency of engineering design delivery. The incumbent provides engineering support to various internal departments and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a performance-driven culture and maintain employee morale and motivation.
  • Prepare and implement an annual engineering operations plan.
  • Direct the engineering team to design connections and ensure timely design delivery.
  • Develop and execute a plan for maintaining and developing engineering standards and design tools.
  • Provide engineering support to fabrication, construction, and other departments as required.

Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with APEGA.
  • Experience in structural design, connection design, and project management.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Working Conditions:

The incumbent works in an office environment with moderate noise and may require regular Fabrication shop and Construction field inspections.
