About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Coordinator to join our Facilities Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective operation of our District-owned properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with contractors and internal staff to complete various maintenance programs, including heating, air conditioning, janitorial, plumbing, electrical, access control, fire and life safety, and other equipment.
  • Perform technical building and site inspections, respond to service and after-hours emergency calls, identify and assess occupant complaints, and perform repairs, cleaning and servicing as required.
  • Develop and maintain a preventative routine maintenance schedule, coordinate planned alterations and minor renovations, and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and control expenditures for building and equipment maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
  • Considerable knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in building maintenance, servicing and repair work.
  • Considerable knowledge of the functions and operations of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, plumbing and electrical equipment and related systems.
  • Ability to identify potential problems and to operate, maintain and make minor repairs to various building systems.
  • Experience working with HVAC Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Proficiency with MS Office and strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Qualifications
  • Completion of Grade 12, supplemented by technical courses in building technology, plus sound related experience in the construction or maintenance field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver's Licence is required.
