Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end projects from design to implementation, managing complexity and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure business impact, reliability, operability, and security.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams on roadmap initiatives, product ideation, and prioritization. Break down epics and projects into manageable tasks for the team.
  • Develop high-quality, testable, readable code that considers edge cases and errors.
  • Architect tools, services, and systems using well-accepted design patterns to enable iterative development and future scaling.
  • Mentor junior team members to uphold best practices and high standards for engineering and product quality.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Prior experience leading end-to-end product development and impactful technology initiatives. Ability to break down work into manageable tasks and partner with operational teams.
  • Collaborative environment experience involving different functions, stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
  • Bias for action, passion for self-improvement, and desire to mentor others.

We're open to candidates familiar with various languages but willing to learn. Our tech stack includes Ruby (Rails, Sidekiq), Kotlin (micronaut, jooq), GRPC, Protobuf, and Postgres for backend; Typescript/Javascript (React, Redux) for web; and React-native for mobile.
