Drive Gameplay Innovation at Epic Games

Epic Games is seeking an experienced Lead Gameplay Programmer to join our Fortnite team. As a key member of our programming team, you will play a critical role in driving future gameplay features and collaborating with designers and artists to create engaging experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement gameplay mechanics and features
  • Collaborate with art and design teams to create and iterate on gameplay features
  • Prototype and test features, and provide feedback to the team
  • Optimize and fix bugs in existing gameplay systems
  • Contribute to the technical excellence of Fortnite on multiple platforms
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in a lead programmer role, with demonstrated ability to manage or lead a team effectively
  • Strong C++ skills and the ability to code and architect gameplay mechanics and tools
  • Unreal Engine experience (UE4 or UE5) is ideal
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
