Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Service Technician to join our team at Wajax. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and technical expertise to our customers in the transport, material handling, and heavy equipment sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for service requirements.
  • Communicate with equipment owners for servicing and repairs authorization.
  • Service and repair equipment at the shop and on-site.
  • Recondition and remanufacture components as needed for equipment, engine, and hydraulic repairs.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Communicate equipment service needs to Branch Supervisor/Manager.
  • Report work done and fill out service paperwork.
  • Update and keep service records.
  • Complete warranty information and work orders.
  • Participate in manufacturers and in-house service training.
  • Attend all necessary Health & Safety Training.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety program and practices.
  • Perform daily duties in a way that promotes a safe workplace.
  • Work with Manufacturers' online support.
  • Perform housekeeping duties.
  • Maintain a professional company image.
  • Meet Field Level Hazard and Job Hazard assessments.
  • Prior experience with On-Highway Truck & Transport repairs is necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: Experience servicing On/Off Highway vehicles, Construction & Material Handling Equipment.
  • Work Experience: 2-3 years.
  • Knowledge: Proficiency in written and verbal communication; ability to work with customers, exceptional customer service; mechanical aptitude, analysis, and problem-solving skills. Previous experience is mandatory.
