We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Toronto Pearson Airport. This is a dynamic role that requires flexibility and a willingness to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical maintenance work under direct supervision, ensuring the efficient operation of baggage handling systems
  • Identify and repair mechanical issues, reset errors due to luggage, equipment, or operator mistakes
  • Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and maintain equipment, adhering to quality and reporting standards
  • Conduct system maintenance, cleaning, and asset inspections, promoting a safe working environment
  • Support activities related to BEUMER Group products and systems, meeting customer requirements
  • Monitor system performance, providing feedback and intelligence to management
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols, maintaining accurate records and reports

Requirements:

  • Licensed Industrial Millwright 443A certificate, minimum 3 years' experience in industrial facilities with baggage handling systems and/or automated systems
  • RAIC Security Clearance or ability to obtain/maintain clearance
  • Strong analytical skills, system knowledge, and product expertise
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in using computers and maintenance software, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
