Senior Research Engineering Manager

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior Research Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of cutting-edge AI solutions from concept to production. As a technical leader and people manager, you will be responsible for the technical direction of production services, close partnership with technology partners across the enterprise, and the recruiting, career growth, and mentorship of Labs engineers.

  • Coach engineering leads within the team

About You

  • A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or the equivalent. Master's or PhD in a relevant specialization preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years' software development experience, with the demonstrated ability to successfully manage software development teams in an agile environment.
  • Experience spearheading technical development in a cross-functional setting, with responsibility for ML applications; close partnership with Applied Scientists, R&D groups, or similar.
  • A portfolio showcasing significant contributions to technology innovation.
  • Excellent project management, organization, and communication skills.
  • Experience contributing to and overseeing large-scale rollouts and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Expertise in several of the following areas: robust Python development, MLOps, containerization, cloud infrastructure (AWS and Azure), advanced search and recommendation technology, orchestration of ML pipelines for real-time inference, microservices architecture, model monitoring, and governance.
